Second Android phone announced by BlackBerry and it looks similar as Alcatel

Show Quick Read

After Priv, BlackBerry is all ready to launch its second Android phone named DTEK50. The phone has been leaked for a while now. Surprising move by BlackBerry, also showed that phone has been built by Alcatel, given its virtually identical features to that as it gave in Idol 4S.

The specifications are as follows:-

  • Snapdragon 617
  • 3 GB Ram
  • 16 GB Storage
  • 5.2 -inch QHD display
  • Micro-USB
  • MicroSD expansion
  • 13MP Rear Camera with phase detection.

BlackBerry in its official statement stated that “it will be the most secured Android smartphone of the world”. This, phone looks very much similar as that of Alcatel’s Idol, which has already been launched into the market. But, you may be little disappointed if you are a BlackBerry admirer because they didn’t choose to create something original after they took a step in the right decision by making Priv.

Also, which BlackBerry is famous for, its “qwerty” or “physical keyboard” phones, there is no physical keyboard in this one. Then, if we talk about how many bugs it would cost you, then it is a budget device with $299. BlackBerry is also differentiating it by others through its official statement as mentioned above. This means it would include a password manager, drive encryption and much more.

So, now lets see that BlackBerry through this new step(entering into the Android’s maket) may regain its lost dignity or not!
