On Wednesday (July 20th, 2016), Lenovo launched the Ideapad 110 budget laptop, targeted at the first-time personal computer (PC) buyers in India. The Windows 10-based Ideapad 110 laptop will be available at a starting price of Rs. 20,490, with prices going up to Rs. 24,990. Available via retail stores, the laptop comes only in a Ebony Black colour variant.
While the base model comes with an Intel Celeron dual-core processor, options up to Intel Pentium quad-core processors will be available, Lenovo said in a statement.
“Ideapad 110 is a value laptop with features users need, but without a high price tag. Its dependable processing power, good memory, ample storage, attractive display, and integrated graphics makes it one of the best entry-level laptops for the college goers and young working professionals,” said Bhaskar Choudhuri, Director-Marketing, Lenovo India.
The company added that under its Back To College initiative, college students can avail EMIs on the purchase of select models of Ideapad 110 – the offer will be applicable in all cities until July 31. Additionally, students are entitled to get up to 3 years of warranty worth Rs. 4,499 along with 1 year of accidental damage protection (ADP) cover with an additional payment of Rs. 599.
Featuring an improved hinge design that allows for a smooth 180-degree swivel into a flat position, the Lenovo Ideapad 110 comes with a DVD/CD-RW drive.
The Lenovo Ideapad 110 sports a 15.6-inch HD (1366×768 pixel) display, 4GB of DDR3 RAM (up to 8GB), up to a 1TB SSD, and a 3-cell 24WHr battery which can offer up to 4 hours of continuous video playback. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, USB 3.0, and HDMI. The laptop weighs less than 2.2kg, and also features an integrated webcam with microphone.
