Samsung is officially expanding the rollout of its Android 17-based One UI 9 update to a broader range of smartphones this September. Following the initial debut on the new foldable lineup in early August, the stable build is now making its way to older flagships and premium mid-range devices.
Stable One UI 9 September Rollout List
- Galaxy S26 Series: The rollout includes the standard Galaxy S26, the Galaxy S26+, the Galaxy S26 Ultra, and potentially the highly anticipated Galaxy S26 FE.
- Galaxy S25 Series: Last year’s premium tier, including the entire Galaxy S25 lineup and the Galaxy S25 FE, is also slated to receive the stable update this month.
- Galaxy Z Foldables: Users of the previous generation Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 will begin receiving the Android 17 features as the update expands beyond the newest foldables.
- Galaxy A-Series: Samsung is quickly trickling the update down to its mid-range tier, specifically starting with the Galaxy A57 and Galaxy A37.
PFD Context:
Pushing the stable Android 17 update to the Galaxy S25 and mid-range A-series devices just a month after the new Galaxy Z Fold 8 launch is a massive flex of Samsung’s software development pipeline. Historically, previous-generation models and A-series devices had to wait until late Q4 for major OS upgrades. Bringing One UI 9 to devices like the Galaxy A37 and A57 in September proves that Samsung is drastically accelerating its update timelines for the average consumer.
