British consumer tech brand Nothing is set to unveil its highly anticipated mid-range lineup, the Nothing Phone (4a) and Phone (4a) Pro, at a global event in London today, March 5, 2026. With CEO Carl Pei confirming the company will not release a traditional flagship device this year, the Phone (4a) series will serve as Nothing’s premium offering for 2026. The event will also mark the debut of the brand’s first over-ear audio product, the Nothing Headphone (a).

How to Watch the Launch Live

The global launch event is scheduled to begin at 10:30 GMT, translating to 4:00 PM IST for viewers in India.

  • Where to watch: The presentation will be livestreamed globally on Nothing’s official YouTube channel and the Nothing website.
  • India Availability: A dedicated microsite is already live on Flipkart, where the devices will be officially sold.

Expected Specifications: What to Expect

Nothing has managed to keep some details under wraps, but a combination of official teasers and reliable supply chain leaks paints a clear picture of the upcoming devices.

Performance and Battery Endurance

Both smartphones are confirmed to utilize Qualcomm Snapdragon processors to drive performance.

  • Processor: The devices are heavily tipped to feature the new Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset, offering a notable efficiency bump over the previous generation.
  • Storage and Memory: Leaks point to base configurations of 8GB RAM paired with 128GB of fast UFS 3.1 storage, scaling up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage for higher tiers.
  • Battery and Charging: The Phone (4a) Pro is rumored to pack a massive 5,080mAh battery, a slight capacity increase from its predecessor, supported by 50W wired fast charging.

Cameras and New “Glyph Bar” Design

Nothing is maintaining its signature transparent aesthetic but introducing significant hardware changes to the exterior.

  • Glyph Bar: Moving away from the scattered back-panel LEDs, the new series features a dedicated “Glyph Bar” located adjacent to the camera island. It incorporates nine individually controllable mini-LEDs for notifications, volume visualization, and a red recording indicator.
  • Camera Upgrades: The Pro model is expected to sport a versatile triple-camera setup, including a 50MP primary sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and, notably, a 50MP periscope telephoto lens capable of 3.5x optical zoom, a first for the A-series lineup.
  • Colors: The series will break from Nothing’s traditional monochrome palette, launching in four finishes: White, Black, Pink, and Blue.

Expected Pricing and Availability in India

While official pricing will be finalized during the 4 PM stream, industry analysts and tipsters suggest a price hike compared to the 3a series, reflecting the upgraded hardware and the addition of a periscope camera.

  • Nothing Phone (4a): Expected to start around ₹31,999 for the 8GB/128GB base variant.
  • Nothing Phone (4a) Pro: Expected to carry a starting price near ₹40,000.

Following the digital launch, Nothing will host an exclusive “first drop” retail event at the Nothing Store in Bengaluru on March 7. The first 100 in-person buyers will receive a custom-engraved edition of the Phone (4a) bundled with a complimentary pair of Nothing Ear (a) earbuds.

By integrating premium features like a periscope telephoto lens, UFS 3.1 storage, and a refined Glyph Bar, the Nothing Phone (4a) series appears positioned to disrupt the upper mid-range segment. As the company’s primary hardware focus for 2026, the success of today’s launch will dictate Nothing’s market trajectory against established competitors from Motorola, OnePlus, and Samsung.
