The Infinix Concept Phone 2021 With 160W Fast Charging Announced

Infinix revealed Infinix Concept Phone 2021 that supports 160W fast charging. The company claims that the 4000mAh battery on phone can completely be charged within 10 minutes. The fast charging on the Infinix Concept Phone 2021 is built around an 8C battery.

When compared to a 6C battery, an 8C battery will have 18% lower internal resistance. The ‘C-rate’ on the battery indicates how fast it can be charged or discharged.

Infinix has developed a Super Charge Pump. This technology converts the incoming voltage from USB-C to the voltage going into the battery. It boasts 98.6% efficiency when charging the battery. The phone has 20 temperature sensors dotted around the device to ensure the phone does not go above 40ºC (104ºF).

When the heat goes above the temperature, the security protection mechanism of the phone prevents any damages that can be caused. Moreover, there are 60 security protection mechanisms to prevent your phone from any damages.

The charger delivering 160W charge is built of Gallium Nitrate (GaN) and Silicon Carbide (SiC) semiconductors, which not only makes this charger efficient but also compact. The charger supports multiple protocols, so one can charge a laptop and phone with this charger.

The Infinix Concept Phone 2021 supports wireless charging up to 50W. Infinix on their Twitter handle has shared a video of how fast the phone can charge. The video shared three time-marks where the phone charged up to 18% in 1 minute.

The phone reached a 58% percent mark in 5 minutes, and the 100% mark was reached by the phone in 10 minutes. The phone charged up to 100% within 10 minutes while keeping the temperature at around 37.3ºC.

Along with it, Infinix has revealed the design of the phone as well. The phone will feature a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with 88º extreme curvatures at the sides. Moreover, the phone has a ‘NOW’ stencil design on the back. The back of the phone has color-changing technology, which allows it to change color. The ‘O’ in ‘NOW has a breathing light that pulses when you charge the phone.

The silver-gray panel of the phone turns light blue. This works as the notification for incoming calls, or any other notification. Another feature to note about this phone is the 135mm periscopic lens that uses digital zoom for up to 60x magnification. There is an 8MP sensor behind the periscopic lens.

This for sure is a killer phone offering amazing features for the brand to call it a concept phone. The release date of the phone isn’t confirmed yet, but the Infinix Concept Phone 2021 is believed to be a game-changer for the smartphone market.
