Google on Monday announced that everyone who has a Google account will now be able to access Google Workspace for free. Google will be upgrading its services including Google Docs, Sheets, Meet, Chat, Gmail, and much more.
Users will soon be able to take benefit of Google Workspace and access all its features for free. This integration can be useful for working professionals as well as students who constantly use Google applications like Docs, Sheets, Gmail, and various others.
With this integration, users will now be able to keep track of all their content, including photos, videos, documents, and much more. Moreover, this integration will also bring the @-mention feature to the Calendar, Gmail, and various other services from Google. Smart Canvas will be coming to Google Docs soon, and this will help with the presentation on Google Meet.
Moreover, the rooms feature will now become Spaces. It will now have expressive reactions, custom statuses, in-line topic threading, presence indicator, and collapsible view.
There will be a Workspace Individual feature for which users can pay to avail upgraded features of Google Workspace. This feature will roll out next month, but it will only be rolling out for six markets- Canada, United States, Japan, Brazil, Australia, and Mexico.
The very first feature of the Google Workspace is now introduced to the users, and users can access it from their Gmail account. This Workspace feature now replaces Chat with Hangout on Gmail.
To enable it, head to the ‘settings’ option and click on ‘see all settings.’ Now go to the ‘chat and meet’ tab, and beside the ‘chat’ toggle click on ‘Google Chat’ and save the changes. This will replace Google Hangout with ‘Chat’ and ‘Room.’
The features of Google Workspace will be available to anyone with a Google account very soon. These features will arrive in a few months to all the users.
