OnePlus has finally launched its long-awaited fitness wearable, the OnePlus Band. The band has many features perfectly curated for fitness enthusiasts along with an AMOLED display that supports touch inputs. The band also has blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) and heart rate monitoring. The band also includes as many as 13 dedicated exercise modes.
OnePlus Band Specifications And Features
The OnePlus Band features a 1.1-inch AMOLED display having a 126×294 pixels resolution. It has a detachable tracker that can be attached to a range of dual-color wrist straps. The bundled strap is a black color strap. Users can completely personalize the appearance of the watch by applying their preferred watch faces directly from the OnePlus Health app or even set their own pictures.
There are several sensors onboard to make the experience of using the watch much more interesting as it includes a blood oxygen sensor, a three-axis accelerometer and gyroscope, and an optical heart-rate sensor.
13 dedicated exercise modes are namely Outdoor Run, Indoor Run, Fat Burn Run, Outdoor Walk, Outdoor Cycling, Indoor Cycling, Elliptical Trainer, Rowing Machine, Cricket, Badminton, Pool Swimming, Yoga, and Free Training.
The watch also has sleep monitoring which can analyze user’s sleep patterns. It also combines its sleep tracking with continuous SpO2 monitoring to provide a detailed health report on the OnePlus Health app. These sensors analyze the user’s health, but these sensors and do not come with any healthcare certifications or aren’t medically approved.
The band is a fitness-centric wearable so it comes with aIP68 certification and a 5ATM water-resistant rating. The company also claims it can resist dust to a large extent as well. The band also has heart rate monitoring along with personalized heart-rate alerts. It is also said to notify users of irregular readings.
The band will be launched with compatibility limited to devices on at least Android 6.0 with no compatibility yet for iPhone for the time being. However, the company did say they will be bringing support for iOS devices in the coming days. OnePlus also said to make the most of the wearable and for “best experience” the band must be used with an OnePlus smartphone. The band makes use of Bluetooth v5.0 for connectivity.

Once it is linked to a smartphone, the band can be used to access real-time notifications, incoming call alerts, call rejection, music playback controls, and a remote camera shutter button. Also, the watch has Zen Mode synchronization that can be linked with an OnePlus smartphone.
The OnePlus band houses a 100mAh battery that the company claims can last for up to 14 days on a single charge. The band also comes with a wired charging dongle in the box. The band measures 40.4×17.6×11.95mm and weighs 22.6 grams (including strap).
OnePlus Band Pricing And Availability In India
The OnePlus Band has been priced in India for Rs. 2,499. The band will be sold with a black color strap only. The band goes on sale at 9 am, January 12 exclusively for under an early access sale for Red Cable Club members through OnePlus.in and the OnePlus Store app. While on January 13 the band will be launched for all customers through OnePlus.in, OnePlus Store app, Amazon, Flipkart, OnePlus exclusive offline stores, and partner outlets.
