Apple has raised the curtains over the Apple iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max in the Apple Event. The latest flagship mobile phones from Apple are also 5G compatible and use the latest and most powerful chip to date from the company- The A14 Bionic. The phone also has a new Ceramic Shield design, LiDAR Scanner, pro camera system, and a lot more.

iPhone 12 Pro And 12 Pro Max Specifications And Features
The iPhone 12 Pro features a 6.1-inch while the Pro Max features a 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR OLED Display. The phones still have a 60 Hz refresh rate. The resolution on the Pro is 1,170 x 2,532 pixels at 460 PPI while on the Pro Max it is 1,284 x 2,778 pixels at 458 PPI. The peak brightness on the phones is 1,200 nits. Apple has partnered with Corning to provide Ceramic Shield Material for the phone making it 4x better performing than previous glass.
iPhones have always used Apple’s proprietary chip as the processor and 12 series phones are no different. The 12 Pro makes use of the latest A14 Bionic chip. This chip is the first chip ever to be built on the 5-nanometer process. The chip features a 16-core Neural Engine which according to Apple will result in an up to 80 percent increase in performance. This enables it to complete 11 trillion operations per second.
Coming to optics, the iPhone has a reputation for providing one of the best camera phones in the market. The 12 Pro series of smartphones have a triple camera setup on the back. The cameras on the back include Ultra Wide, Wide, and Telephoto cameras.
The Wide camera comes with an aperture of f/1.6 while on the ultrawide it is f/2.4 with a 120-degree field of view. However, on the telephoto camera, the Pro model has a lens with an aperture of f/2.0 while for the Max the lens has an aperture of f/2.2. In terms of zooming capabilities, the Pro model has 2x Optical Zoom in and out with a 4x Zoom range and 10x Digital Zoom. In the Max mode, the cameras have 2.5x Optical Zoom in, 2x Optical Zoom out, 5x Optical Zoom range, and 12x Digital Zoom.
The cameras have several other features as well such as Portrait mode with advanced bokeh and Depth Control, Portrait Lighting with six effects, Dual optical image stabilization (in Wide and Telephoto), Sapphire crystal lens cover, Night mode (Wide and Ultrawide), Deep Fusion (Ultra Wide, Wide, Telephoto), Smart HDR 3 with Scene Detection, and a lot more.
Another interesting addition to this lineup of devices from Apple is the MagSafe technology. This enables the speed of wireless charging on the phone to go up to 15W from the 7.5W as in earlier. Also, this technology makes use of magnets to grab onto a snap-on wireless charging.
Another area where Apple has worked very hard is the 5G connectivity. The phone makes use of an integration of world-class hardware and world-class software to provide high-speed 5G connectivity. The phones are capable of reaching speeds as high as up to 4 Gbps.
The phone has 20W Fast Charging support using which the device can be charged to 50% in just 30 minutes. The battery is claimed to last for 17 hours of video playback, 11 hours of streaming playback, and 65 hours of audio playback on the Pro model. While on the Max model 20 hours of video playback, 12 hours of streaming playback, and 80 hours of audio playback.
The phone has sensors such as Face ID, LiDAR Scanner, Barometer, Three‑axis gyro, Accelerometer, Proximity sensor, and Ambient light sensor. The Pro model measures 146.7 x 71.5 x 7.4mm and weighs 189 grams, while the Max model measures 160.8 x 78.1 x 7.4 mm and weighs 228 grams.

The iPhone 12 Pro will be available in India starting from October 30 with pre-orders starting from October 23 while the Pro iPhone 12 Pro Max will be available from November 13 and pre-orders start from November 6. The two phones are available in 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB storage variants.
