JioFiber Introduces New Plans Starting At Rs. 399 With 30-Day Free Trial

Jio has introduced new plans for its JioFiber broadband users. New plans have a starting price of Rs. 399 and go to as high as Rs. 8,499 per month. Jio has also introduced a new 30-Day free trial option for JioFiber users. Moreover, another huge announcement includes that for all its plans up to Rs. 1,499 will come with ‘Truly Unlimited Internet’ unlike earlier where there was a FUP limit.

New JioFiber Plans

Jio has not just launched new plans but also revamped several of its current plans. Now the plans Jio will offer for JioFiber will include priced at Rs. 399, Rs. 699, Rs. 999, Rs. 1,499, Rs. 2,499, Rs. 3,499, and Rs. 8,499.

Apart from the Rs. 399 and Rs. 699 plans all others come with subscriptions to several OTT platforms. Amongst other Rs. 999 plan comes with subscriptions to 11 OTT Apps worth Rs. 1,000 monthly according to Jio. While the other plans including Rs. 1,499, Rs. 2,499, Rs. 3,499, and the Rs. 8,499 comes with a subscription to 12 OTT Apps worth Rs. 1,500 monthly.

The 11 OTT apps included in the plans are Amazon Prime Video, Disney+ Hotstar, JioCinema, Zee5, Sony Liv, Voot, Alt Balaji, Sun NXT, Shemaroo, Lionsgate Play, and Hoichoi while the 12th OTT app which will be available for Rs. 1,499, Rs. 2,499, Rs. 3,499, and the Rs. 8,499 plans are Netflix.

Another very interesting change in these new plans is the removal of the FUP limit in most plans. As against earlier where there was a cap of 100 GB, 250 GB, and 500 GB for the Rs. 699, Rs. 849, and Rs. 1299 plans respectively.

JioFiber Trial Offer

Jio has also launched a new JioFiber trial offer for new customers. The users can obtain a new connection for one month with truly unlimited internet at 150 Mbps. The trial offer is free for all new customers but there is a catch here. The customers will have to pay a deposit amount which is refundable. Users can cancel the connection after the free month with ‘No Questions Asked’.

There are two plans for the JioFiber Trial offer:

• The Rs. 2,500 deposit offer includes a Wi-Fi modem and a 4K set-top box with 150 Mbps unlimited internet along with unlimited voice calling. Also, this plan includes a subscription to 10 OTT Apps which are Disney+ Hotstar, JioCinema, Zee5, Sony Liv, Voot, Alt Balaji, Sun NXT, Shemaroo, Lionsgate Play, and Hoichoi.
• While the Rs. 1,500 deposit offer will include a Wi-Fi modem without the 4K set-top box. This plan also has 150 Mbps unlimited internet along with unlimited voice calling as well. But this plan doesn’t provide any subscription to any OTT Apps.

What Now For Existing Subscribers?

All existing users who have ongoing plans remain unaffected by these changes for now. But once their existing plans expire the users have to select one of the new plans to continue their services. Although the new plans come with added benefits such as truly unlimited data and the addition of a new OTT platform (Netflix) to the users but the rates of plans have changed although there are new plans with cheaper monthly rates as well.
