Measure Heart-Rate Using Xiaomi’s Mi Health App

As mentioned earlier, the new heart rate monitoring feature relies on your smartphone’s camera to instantly measure your heart rate. Once you place your fingertip on the camera sensor, the Mi Heath App tracks color changes on the fingertip, and since these changes are linked to your pulse you get your heart rate measurements.

Before following the steps ensure that you have the latest version of the Mi Health app installed on your smartphone. After updating open the application and locate the new heart rate section. The app will now ask you to completely block the camera and flash of your smartphone with a finger. Lastly, tap the start experiencing button. In order to get accurate results do not move your finger until the progress bar reaches 100%.

Once the aforementioned step is completed the fitness app will ask you to choose between General status, Resting-state, and After exercise states. Finally, your detailed report will now pop-up and all of your measurements will be saved automatically.
