Indian Army has released a list of 89 apps that have been banned to be used for army personnel. These apps include almost all the apps from the previously released list of apps banned by the Indian Government for all Indians. These apps, however, include apps not only having Chinese origin but all apps which may breach user data.
ANI Tweeted the report stating all the 89 apps banned for the army. The list includes various popular apps such as Facebook, PUBG, Tinder, Reddit, TikTok, and many more.

Reports suggest the Army has also banned its personnel from using any kind of ‘Private Blogs’ as well. Moreover, the personnel has also been directed to delete all the apps stated in the list by July 15.
Even earlier this year, the army warned its personnel from using Facebook and WhatsApp. Also, they were asked not to carry smartphones in their bases, docks, and onboard warships. The guideline earlier stated “ban on the use of Facebook by all naval personnel and ban on the use of smartphones within naval bases/establishments/ dockyards / onboard warships.”
