Amid the COVID-19 pandemic internet service providers have witnessed a massive surge in the number of broadband internet users. Some of the reasons behind this surge are work from home scenarios, online education, and internet-based entertainment. Well, if you have been scouting for a perfect Broadband plan under Rs. 1000 that will fulfill your requirements then this article might help you.
In this article, I have compared three different broadband plans from leading ISPs in India.
1. JioFiber Silver Monthly Plan
JioFiber doesn’t any introduction. Owned and operated by Reliance, JioFiber is a leading fiber internet service and the company offers several internet plans. One of the best among the bunch that comes under the 1000 INR price bracket is JioFiber Silver Monthly Plan.
For a price of Rs. 849 the monthly plan offers 400GB of data. It is worth noting that, earlier the plan offered only 200GB of data. However, JioFibre is offering an additional 200GB of data due to the current lockdown situation. The plan offers a maximum speed of 100 MBPS.
In addition to internet services, the silver monthly plan also offers three months of subscription for leading internet services like Disney+ Hotstar, SonyLiv, Zee4, SunNxt, Voot, AltBalaji, HoiChoi, JioSaavn, Jio Cinema, Lionsgate Play, and SheemaroMe.
2. BSNL Super Star 500 With Hotstar Premium Plan
Next up, on the list is BSNL’s Super Star 500 plan. As the name of this plan from BSNL suggests, it offers 500GB of monthly data limit with a speed of around 50mbps. Once you cross your monthly limit of 500GB your speed will be reduced to around 2mbps.
As a might know the yearly subscription of Disney+ Hotstar costs around Rs. 1499. Well, BSNL offers this yearly subscription completely free of cost to the subscribers. It is worth noting that the Super Star 500 plan is available in two variants namely DSL and Bharat Fiber. The former offers a maximum speed of around 10 Mbps. On the other hand, the later offers 50 Mbps speed.
The fixed monthly charges for the aforementioned plan are Rs.949.
3. Airtel Entertainment Plan
Lastly, we have the famous Airtel Entertainment Plan. In comparison to the other two plans shared on the list, the one from Airtel offers the maximum speed. This plan offers a speed of up to 200mbps. Sadly, the data limit is only 300GB. If you only use the internet for causal browsing and streaming content then the data rollover feature of this plan might impress you.
For entertainment purposes, the plan offers a subscription to three prominent content streaming services in India namely Amazon Prime, Zee5 Premium, and Airtel Xstream. Airtel Entertainment Plan is available for a price of Rs. 999.
All of the plans shared in this article also offer some sort of unlimited local/STD calling facilities. Do note that, at times local ISPs offer somewhat better deals but since they are not available at a national level we didn’t include them in this article.
