Although some of us inside our Chrome browser have very few tabs open, there are others who keep tens of tabs open. Google is bringing a new tool called Tab Groups into its browser for both types of users that will easily help users organize their tabs in groups, along with colour tagging and labelling options.
Tab Groups allows a user to simply right-click on any tab to find the option to add a new group. Once a group is formed, more tabs can be added to the group and organizational tools will be available to the groups themselves. Right-clicking the group icon will create a menu window that provides options for group labelling, adding colour tags, etc. Chrome also allows for the inclusion of emoji as a group label.
Tag Grouping will be saved upon closing and reopening of Chrome. As of today, the feature is available in Chrome Beta and Google will gradually roll it out to the stable version that will arrive in the weeks ahead. It’ll be available on the desktop version of Chrome on Chrome OS, Windows, Mac and Linux.
