On Tuesday, the latest flagship smartphones, Google Pixel and Pixel 3 XL, were launched at an event in New York. Along with flagship smartphones, the company also launched two other products, Google Home Hub and Pixel Slate.

The Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL are successors of last year’s Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL. Both the smartphones have upgraded features like improved camera, full glass back design, newer processors and more.

Both the smartphones don’t differ from each other, the only difference between these two new smartphones is in term of display, battery and notch. Both the smartphones now come with wireless charging support.

Google Pixel 3, Pixel 3 XL Price in India, Sale Date and Launch Offers

  • Google Pixel 3 price in India starts at Rs.71,000 for the 4GB RAM/ 64GB internal storage variant and Rs. 80,000 for the 4GB RAM/ 128GB internal storage variant.
  • Google Pixel 3 XL price in India starts at Rs. 83,000 for the 4GB RAM/ 64GB internal storage variant and Rs. 92,000 for the 4GB RAM/ 128GB internal storage variant.
  • Both the smartphones will be available for pre-order starting this October 11. Also, the smartphones will go on sale starting November 1 via both online and offline stores.
  • The smartphone will come in Clearly White, Just Black, and Not Pink colours.

  • Along with smartphones, Google Pixel Stand will be available for purchase in India for Rs.6,900.
  • In the United States, Google Pixel 3 price starts at $799 (roughly Rs. 59,200) for the 4GB/ 64GB variant and $899 (roughly Rs. 66,600) for the 4GB/ 128GB variant. The Google Pixel 3 XL price starts at $899 for the 4GB/ 64GB varaint and $999 (roughly Rs. 74,000) for the 4GB/ 128GB variant. In the US, the Pixel Stand is priced at $79 (roughly Rs. 5,900).

The feature of both smartphones includes many features where most are from cameras, below is the list:

  1. Top Shot feature which captures the best shot at the first try.
  2. Group Selfie feature which captures 184 percent more area of the scene than that of iPhone XS.
  3. Night Sight feature which captures amazing photos in low-light conditions.
  4. Photobooth feature which captures shots of smiling objects.
  5. In-Camera Google Lens feature which real-time suggestions on e-mails, phone numbers, addresses, URL and QR codes.
  6. Google Assistant Call Screen AI-powered feature which will see the incoming phone call, answer it for you, will ask who’s calling and why then transcribe the conversation and show it on screen.
  7. Now Playing always-on music identification feature which will identify nearby playing music in real-time.
  8. Smart Compose feature which will be first available to Pixel 3 users only, it uses machine learning to predict what you are going to type and automatically types it in text message/mail with a single tap.

Both smartphones are built with aluminium frame with hybrid coating along with Gorilla Glass 5 protection on front as well as on back. Also, both smartphones are IP68 dust and water resistance.

From security point of view, Both Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL comes with Titan M security mode, which is custom made built-in security chip that protects sensitive on device data by securing your lock screen and strengthened disk encryption. Google is providing Pixel USB Type-C earbuds that promise to provide “crystal clear sound”, quick access to Google Assistant, and notification sounds. Both feature an M3/T3 HAC rating for hearing aid compatibility. They are ‘Built for VR’, and support the Google Daydream View headset. Both smartphones feature dual front-firing stereo speakers, 3 mics, and noise suppression technology.

In optics, there is a single rear camera setup, the 12.2MP dual-pixel camera sensor with f/1.8 aperture, 1.4-micron pixel size and 76-degree field-of-view. The smartphones come with Pixel Visual Core chip for the cameras. The rear camera comes with camera features like autofocus with dual pixel phase detection, optical and electronic image stabilisation, spectral and flicker sensor, and more. The rear camera is capable of shooting 4K videos at 30fps.

On the front, it comes with dual 8MP camera setup. Connectivity suite of the smartphone includes 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac with 2×2 MIMI, Bluetooth v5.0 + LE, GPS, NFC, USB Type-C and more. The sensors on board the handset are accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor, barometer, rear-facing fingerprint sensor and Active Edge sensor.

The Google Pixel 3 battery capacity is 2,915mAh with the support of 18W fast charging as well as fast Qi wireless charging support (available with Pixel stand).
