On Wednesday, Asus launched Zenfone Max M1 and Zenfone Lite L1 in India. Both smartphones are priced under Rs. 10000 and the company is heating up the competition with Xiaomi budget smartphones and recently launched Lenovo budget smartphones.

Both smartphones comes with single rear camera setup, Snapdragon 430 processor and Notch-less display. The big difference between these two smartphones is the battery and fingerprint sensor, Zenfone Max M1 bears a massive 4,000 mAh battery along with fingerprint sensor while Zenfone Lites bears only 3,000 mAh battery without fingerprint sensor.

  • Asus Zenfone Max M1 price in India is Rs. 8,999 for the sole 3GB RAM/ 32GB storage variant. The smartphone will be available for an introductory price of Rs. 7,499 during the festival period, Asus said, without specifying an end date for this introductory pricing.
  • Asus Zenfone Max M1 will be exclusively available for purchase via Flipkart. The smartphone will come in Black and Gold colour options.
  • On the other hand, Asus Zenfone Lite L1 price in India is Rs. 6,999 for the  sole 2GB RAM/ 16GB storage variant. The smartphone will be available for an introductory price of Rs. 5,999 during the festival period, Asus said, without specifying an end date for this introductory pricing.
  • Asus Zenfone Lite L1 will be exclusively available for purchase via Flipkart. The smartphone will come in Black and Gold colour options.
  • Launch offers on both smartphones include Rs. 2,200 cashback and 50GB additional data for Jio users, and complete mobile protection including theft protection for Rs. 99 (original price Rs. 399). Flipkart will apparently also be offering No Cost EMI options for up to six months on both the smartphones.

Asus Zenfone Max M1:

Now coming to the specifications, Asus Zenfone Max M1 sports a 5.45-inch IPS LCD Display with 18:9 aspect ratio and HD+ (720×1440 pixels) resolution. The smartphone has pixel density of 295ppi along with screen-to-body ratio of 73.4 percent. Based on ZenUI 5.0 on the top of Android 8.0 Oreo, the dual-SIM (Triple Slot) phone runs on the 1.4GHz octa-core Snapdragon 430 SoC with Adreno 505 GPU. It comes only in 3GB RAM option.

In optics, there is a single rear camera setup with 13MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture. On the front, there is a single camera setup as well, with 8MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture. The phone has LED flash on the back as well as on the front.

When it comes to storage, the smartphone comes with 32GB of internal storage and microSD support up to 256GB. Connectivity suite of the smartphone includes 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, microUSB port, 3.5mm audio jack and more. The sensors on board the handset are accelerometer, proximity sensor, light sensor, compass and fingerprint sensor on the back. The Asus Zenfone Max M1 battery capacity is 4,000mAh with 10W fast charging support. The handset is listed in Black and Gold colours, measures 147.3×70.9×8.7mm and weighs 150 grams.

Based on ZenUI 5.0 on the top of Android 8.0 Oreo, the dual-SIM (Triple Slot) phone runs on the 1.4GHz octa-core Snapdragon 430 SoC with Adreno 505 GPU. It comes only in 2GB RAM option.

Asus Zenfone Max M1:

The Zenfone Max M1 is available at Rs.7,499 at an introductory price. The smartphone’s direct competitor is Redmi 6. The massive 4,000 mAh battery and octa-core Snapdragon 430 processor at this price point is better compared to the competition.

Overall, Max M1 is a good buy looking at the competition.

Asus Zenfone Lite L1:

The Zenfone Lite L1 is available at Rs. 5,999 at an introductory price. The smartphone’s direct competitors are Redmi 6A and Yu Ace. The Snapdragon 430 SoC at this price point makes this smartphone different from its competition.

Overall, Lite L1 is a good buy looking at the competition.
