Apple “Gather Round” Special Event | Live Blog

Apple is widely expected to launch three new iPhones, a new Apple Watch, new iPads, and next-generation AirPods at its event tonight.

It is that time of the year again when the tech community and aficionados alike pause to take a look at what Apple will be launching at Apple Special Event. At 10:30 PM IST, Apple will kick off its annual event with a keynote address by CEO Tim Cook. What will follow is a two-hour whirlwind tour of every new product that Apple will be launching this year.

As is the norm, the highlight of tonight’s event will again be the Apple iPhone. For just the second time, Apple will be launching three new iPhones together. All three will follow the design language introduced on the iPhone X last year, and are widely rumoured to be called ‘iPhone Xc / Xr’, ‘iPhone Xs’, and the ‘iPhone Xs Max’.

Besides the iPhones, Apple is also rumoured to be taking the wraps off the next-generation Watch. The Watch Series 4 is expected to retain the design language, but get a bigger display courtesy of slimmer bezels.

If all the reports are to be believed, Apple could also be unveiling next-generation iPads with USB Type-C ports, a new MacBook, AirPods 2, and also a low-cost HomePod speaker. We could also get an update on the AirPower Mat, which was unveiled last year but is yet to hit the market.

Apple’s iPhone launch event is taking place at the Steve Jobs theatre in Apple Park and is set to kick-off at 10:30 PM IST. Stay tuned for the live updates below.
