While Facebook has been working on mundane bots, Google has upped its game by launching the new Allo Messenger. We’ve already tried it & Allo is wonderful. However, it can’t make video & audio calls, which was intentional as Google wanted their other app, ‘Duo’ to have those features & functions as a companion app to Allo.
Allo is a “smart messaging app” because it learns from your conversations & suggests basic things for you to say. Users can also use Google inside Allo by typing “@Google” and search for words or things to do or joints to eat at & also start a standalone chat with the Google Assistant chatbot account. All Allo messages are encrypted but only the “incognito chat” feature secures them at the device level.
Google Allo is available for both Android and iOS.
