Pokemon Go, basically a GPS based game, in which a major role is played by GPS. And many player spoof their positions and reach at that position where they could get more and more Pokemons and other items. But, for them Nintendo with Niantic launched a concept of banning the ID, with which you played. But, in this procedure many users who played the game with the game spirit also got blocked. so, for them Niantic said in its statement “That in this quest to block bots and data scrapers, some people who used third-party map apps to locate the virtual critters were wrongly blocked.”
They also added “Each end-user can be used as a collection tool by the app creator, invisibly collecting and forwarding data to the app creator without the knowledge of the end-user. These apps can have effect similar to DoDoS attacks on our servers.” So, they meant to say that, they require a small change in their back-end programming, which will also help users in Reverse Bans. But, this added feature will not be entertained with them who are not playing the game, and remotely accessing the game, catching the Pokemons, fighting battles and grabbing the supplies from the Pokestops. So, through this new policy, indirectly we may conclude that they have made more strict policies for spoofers.
“Our main priority is to provide a fair, fun and legitimate experience for all players, so, aggressive banning will continue to occur for players who engage in these kinds of activities.” Niantic said. Hence, from this we could sum up the new policy by warning the hackers, not to do spoofing, play a safe and valid game, with a true sportsmanship. But, this news may be a good one for them who got soft banned, not by Spoofing, but by GPS fluctuation of the device.
