So, Facebook has decided that it will make News Feed for mobile more friendly to vertical videos. This was the report given by Marketing Land.
Exactly, no optimisation would be observed, as per rotation and cropping, as other apps do like Snapchat. The publication made s statement “When the update rolls out for Android and iOS, you’ll start seeing vertical videos with a 2:3 aspect ratio(firstly as 1:1) on your news feed, without having to expand them. we know the people are enjoying more immersive experience on Facebook, so we’re starting to display a larger portion of each vertical video in News Feed on Mobile.” This was being said by a spokes man of Facebook.
It is believed that apps like Snapchat, Periscope etc have made the changes before only, which also pushed Facebook to try something like this. and one more reason could be, vertical video ads have nine times more completed views than one shot in horizontal view(as reports came from Daily Mail) But, we can say that after adding this feature users are going to be attracted more and more towards this feature because, many times they feel lazy to watch the video in full screen Mode.
Facebook didn’t reveal that when and where is this feature gonna roll down. But, as Mashable said that this feature may come into your smart phone in coming weeks. So, now experience all new video quality on your smartphone, with different view.
