Android Lollipop, still the best Android globally:Report

Two years before Google launched its tenth Android, named Lollipop, and it is still the most popular version of Android till date. Now, also it powers 35% of Android devices worldwide. This report came from Google’s Android distribution statistics for the month of August.

As new reports came from Goggle, Android Lollipop 5.0 and v5.1 together still power 35.5% of Android devices. This percentage has increased by 0.4% from last month. After Lollipop, its successor is Android KitKat 4.4 with 29.2%, which declined by 0.9% from last month. Whereas Android Jelly Bean OS runs on 16.7% devices. While Android Ice Cream Sandwich, Gingerbread and Froyo comprises of 1.6%, 1.7% and 0.1% respectively. These facts came from Google and was gathered by it from those Android devices that have used Goole Play Store in a seven day period till August 1st.

And as we talk about the new launched Android Marshmallow 6.0 its share is increasing at a rapid rate. Currently it powers 15.2% devices, which has increased by 1.9% from past month. Goggle has also announced its new Android Nougat in June. So users are waiting for it, since it consists of many features like multiple apps on same window, recreation of size of the app and many more. Hence, it will also be worth usable and will tell about the increment in percentage of Android users.
