On Twitter, one of the Jio user tipped about the end of the 10GB data 4G upgrade offer from Reliance and we’ve independently confirmed this to be the case via a company service representative. On being asked about the status of the offer, the representative said, “As per the details, the 10GB data offer is discontinued. Hence you will not receive the benefit of 10GB data.”

While previously the 10GB for Rs. 93 offer was listed on the company’s website, it’s no longer shown, with rates for Delhi listed as Rs. 1,850 per month for 10GB. One of the biggest qualms consumers are expressing about the end of the offer is that there was no communication about it from Reliance.

The company has not confirmed whether the offer will return in the near future but chances are that the Rs. 93 offer for 10GB data was an upgrade offer for select customers. On repeatedly checking, the representative however stressed, “As per the company policy, the 10GB data offer is discontinued.”

Reliance Communications was also offering its CDMA subscribers who switched to the 4G SIM. At a price of Rs. 93, the telecom operator was offering consumers 5GB of 3G data as well as 5GB of 4G data with a validity of 30 days. The offer however was based on the circles where 3G and 4G services were offered by Reliance Communications.

The company recently confirmed that it will start offering the 4G services in India in the ‘coming months. (most probably in August)’
