Amazon has just launched a new data-centre in India. They are readying to launch an AWS Office (Amazon Web Services Office) in Bengaluru too. The office, which is known as a Pop-up Loft, is a large office which offers networking and consultancy services related to Amazon Web Services. People can simply walk in and discuss technical details & AWS offerings with a team member. The service is generally Free.
Pop-up Lofts also serve as training workshops and provide hands-on exercises for a fee. AWS has been earning $10 bn annually. AWS infrastructure chief, Andy Jassy said that they are “looking closely at Bengaluru to set up a loft. Obviously because of the startups, it is one of the places we are looking at very hard.”
Amazon Web Services (AWS), is a collection of cloud computing services, also called web services, that make up a cloud-computing platform offered by Amazon.com. These services operate from 12 geographical regions across the world. The most central and well-known of these services arguably include Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud, also known as “EC2”, and Amazon Simple Storage Service, also known as “S3”. Amazon markets AWS as a service to provide large computing capacity more quickly and more cheaply than a client company building an actual physical server farm.
