Beijing Bans iPhone 6 Sales

Show Quick Read

Apple has been accused in copyright infringement & ordered to stop selling iPhone 6 & 6+ by a court in Beijing. The clams were brought against Apple by Shenzhen Baili for its 100C smartphone, however, Apple has appealed the decision and the order has been stayed pending review by the Beijing IP Court. Several stores in Beijing have already stopped selling the phone a few months ago to sell the newer models. Apple too has said that they’d be ending production of both models soon.

Nevertheless, this adds to the various challenges that Apple has faced since its arrival in China and was forced to close its iBooks and iTunes Movies stores due to new laws designed to make things difficult for foreign companies to publish online.
