Popular phone number directory Truecaller has finally added live caller ID functionality to its iPhone app. Now you will get caller ID details an unknown number pops up on your phone, provided they’re listed with Truecaller. It’s worth mentioning that caller ID on the iPhone requires you to have the Truecaller app running in the background. The new updated app for iPhone can be downloaded here.
The caller ID functionality has been available in the Android version of the Truecaller app for several years. Truecaller was unable to bring the same functionality to its iOS counterpart due to the various restrictions placed by Apple. The feature will display the name of the person calling you, whether you have the contact saved on your phone or not.
