The Micromax Canvas 5 sports a 5.2 inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS display with pixel density at 423 ppi and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The flagship smartphone is powered by 64-bit MediaTek MT6753 octa-core processor clocked at 1.3 GHz, clubbed with Mali-T720 GPU and 3 GB of RAM. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop, company has promised the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for it.
The Canvas 5 boasts a 13 megapixel rear camera with LED flash, Samsung 3M2 image sensor and Phase Detection autofocus (PDAF). On the front, it has a 5 megapixel selfie camera also with flash. The smartphone offers 16 GB inbuilt memory, expandable upto 64 GB via microSD card.
The Micromax Canvas 5 is backed by a 2900 mAh battery. Connectivity options on the phone includes 4G LTE / 3G HSPA+, 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS.
The Micromax Canvas 5 will compete with smartphones like the Moto G (2nd Gen), Lenovo K3 Note, Meizu M2 Note, Xolo Black 1X and others.
