As per the teaser, Yutopia will be the first smartphone of Yu to come with a QHD display. In the previous teaser, Yu revealed that it will also be company’s first smartphone to be made out of metal. All the previous smartphones of the company Including Yureka, Yureka Plus, Yunique and Yuphoria had plastic body except the Yuphoria that was launched with a metal frame.
In this latest teaser Yu Televentures also took a dig at OnePlus 2 in a Facebook post that read, “Calling a 1080p Display a 2016 Flagship killer? #WhySettle #YUTOPIA.”
Yu Yutopia was introduced by Rahul Sharma, founder of Micromax as the “most powerful phone on the planet”. He proudly announced it saying that it will be from India. Because of the metal build, it may come with a premium price tag.
Previously, A high-end smartphone from Micromax called Yu550 was spotted in Geekbench listings in September. So it might be the same high-end smartphone that the company has been teasing.
If we look at the specifications of Yu550 smartphone that was spotted at Geekbench then it has a 1.5GHz octa-core Snapdragon 810 (MSM8994) processor clubbed with 4GB of RAM. It was said to sport a 5.2-inch full-HD display and run Android 5.1.1 Lollipop-based Cyanogen OS. The Yu5050 scored 1353 in single-core test and 4622 in the multi-core test.
