For specifications, both the dual-SIM smartphones runs Android 5.1 Lollipop. Both are powered by a quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz. Though the smartphones have 1GB of RAM which may disappoint some customers. Both the devices have internal storage of 8GB that is expandable up to 32GB. Both Panasonic handsets feature 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 2-megapixel front camera.
On the connectivity front, both Panasonic smartphones have Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, 802.11 b/g/n, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB.
On the one hand, Panasonic P50 Idol has a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) IPS display and on the other hand the Panasonic P65 Flash features a 5.5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) IPS display. The Panasonic P50 Idol packs a 2150 mAh battery while the Panasonic P65 Flash is backed by a 2910 mAh battery.
The P50 Idol measures 142×71.5×8.7mm and weighs 139 grams. The P65 Flash, on the hand, measures 151×77.8×8.95mm and 168 grams.
