Motorola Set To Launch Droid Turbo 2 And Droid Maxx 2 On October 27

Many of you must be waiting for the rumoured Moto Turbo 2, so here we have some good news for you. Motorola has sent out press invites for an event that will take place on October 27. At the event the company will reveal its new Droids. And its clear from the wordings that Moto Turbo 2 is not the only Droid smartphone that will be launched in the event. Excited?

Although the invite via The Verge doesn’t give us much information about the new Droid smartphones that Motorola is planning to launch, but as per some rumors and leaks Droid Turbo 2 and Droid Maxx 2 could be those new Droids. The Droid Turbo 2 is a top level smartphone and the Droid Maxx 2 is a mid-ranger.

Previous leaks suggests that the Droid Turbo 2 features 5.43-inch QHD display, keep in mind that original Turbo handset had 5.2-inch QHD screen. It will have Snapdragon 810 SoC (MSM8994) and 3GB of RAM. The smartphone will come with storage option of 32GB and 64GB. It features a 21-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front camera. The Droid Turbo 2 is rumoured to come with 3760 mAh battery.

According to the reports, Droid Turbo 2 will have Moto Maker support, which is a program of Motorola that allows costumers to customize the body and select the color of the handset and back cover etc.

Although we don’t have much details regarding the other Droid handset named Droid Maxx 2 but it was recently mentioned in a screenshot of a email client named Moto Email that was launched on Google Play by Motorola.
