The OnePlus has a slight edge out here with a Snapdragon 810 octa-core processor paired with a 4GB RAM. In comparison, the Galaxy A8 has an Exynos 5340 quad-core processor with 2GB RAM. On paper, the Snapdragon 810 processor is more powerful, but during our usage we found the OnePlus 2 to heat up.
The Galaxy A8 offers expandable storage option via a microSD slot upto 128 GB, while the OnePlus 2 doesn’t. The Galaxy A8 has 32GB storage options, while the OnePlus 2 comes with 64GB internal memory.
In the megapixel game, the A8 has a 16-megapixel rear sensor as compared to the OnePlus 2 which has a 13-megapixel rear camera. Both the smartphones have a 5-megapixel selfie camera. We cannot really ascertain the camera quality on the megapixels as other features and editing tools also need to be taken into account. But as far our test we foung samsung galaxy a8 to perform more better than oneplus 2’s camera.
The OnePlus 2 has a slightly larger 3,300mAh batter, while the Galaxy S8 has a 3,050mAh battery.
Both the smartphones run on Android 5.1 Lollipop, but the OnePlus 2 comes with some customization under the garb of its custom-made Oxygen OS. In comparison, Samsung’s TouchWiz UI also brings in design changes and some additional features.
The OnePlus 2 is high on specifications and would be attractive to tech savvy consumers. The Galaxy A8, however, has a more premium design and decent specifications.
