Micromax recently launched a new smart phone which is the successor of Popular Canvas Hue flagship. We are talking about Canvas Hue 2 here, which was recently unveiled by the popular android company. Since both the handsets are on shelves, it is quite evident that the comparison among these two will be very obvious.

Canvas Hue boasts 5” Amoled HD Display delivering screen resolution of 1280x720p. It comes with corning gorilla glass 3 protection and pixel density of about 293ppi. On the other hand Canvas Hue 2 brags 5” capacitive display just like its predecessor catering screen resolution up to 1280x720p.

Operating system and Processor:

AQ5000 Hue runs on Quad core processor which is clocked at the frequency of 1.3GHz, the Processor is coupled along with 1GB of internal RAM. It operates on android Kitkat V4.4 and guarantees Android Lollipop OS.

When talking about A316 Hue 2 is powered by quad-core processor clocked at the frequency of 1.7GHz, the processor will be based on MediaTek MT6582 chipset and will operate on outdated android Kitkat v4.4, the processor is mated along with 2GB of internal RAM.

Canvas Hue 2 deliver much strong performance in comparison to its elder kin, one can expect glitch free performance without any hanging problem in multi-tasking.

Camera and Memory:

Canvas Hue 2 houses 13MP of rear camera along with 5MP of front facing camera. On the other hand Canvas Hue just has 8MP camera at the rear with 2MP camera at the front. Clearly Canvas Hue 2 can be considered as better in terms of camera quality.

Canvas Hue bears 8GB of internal memory on board with external memory expandable up to 32GB. Canvas Hue 2 on the other hand accommodates 16GB of memory on board with external memory which can be expanded up to 32GB.

Battery and connectivity:

Canvas Hue 2 incorporates 2000mAh removable battery while Canvas Hue get its power from 3000mAh battery claiming talk time up to 9.5h and stand by time up to 280h. Clearly Canvas Hue has got better battery back up then its successor which means one can use it more often without the need of re-charging.

Both will offer connectivity features like Bluetooth, WiFi, USB, GPS etc. Both are dual SIM Smart phones operating on GSM technology.


With Canvas Hue one gets sensors like light, proximity, magnetic and G-sensors while Canvas Hue 2 proffer sensors like proximity, ambient light and accelerometer.
