In terms of specifications, the Xolo Prime sports a 4.5-inch IPS display with a 480 x 854 pixel resolution with a pixel density of 218ppi. It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek processor paired with 1GB RAM. The device includes an in-built storage of 8GB which can be further expanded up to 32GB via a microSD card.
The smartphone comes equipped with a 5MP autofocus rear camera along with a 0.3MP VGA front-facing camera. In terms of connectivity, the device includes GPRS/EDGE, 3G, Wi-fi 802.11 b/g/n with hotspot functionality, Bluetooth v4.0, micro USB 2.0 and GPS/A-GPS. The Xolo Prime is backed by a 1,800 mAh battery which delivers up to 20.8 hours of talk time on 2G networks and 10 hours on 3G, claims Xolo.
At this price, Xolo will face competition from Micromax’s recently launched Canvas Spark. The device is priced at Rs 4,999 and is available exclusively on Snapdeal. In terms of specs, the smartphone comes equipped with a 4.7-inch qHD IPS display with 960 x 540 pixel resolution. The device is powered by a 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6582 processor, coupled with 1GB RAM. On the camera front, the Canvas Spark has an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and a 2MP front camera. It is backed by a 2000mAh battery and the company claims that it can deliver up to 335 hours of standby time.
