Micromax launches Canvas Nitro 2 in India at Rs 10,990; sports 5-inch display, 13MP camera

Micromax has launched a successor to the Canvas Nitro dubbed Canvas Nitro 2 for a price of Rs 10,990 in India. The Canvas Nitro 2 (E311) is now available on e-commerce site Infibeam as well as across leading retail stores in India. It will be available in Moondust Grey and Pristine White colour variants. At this price, the Canvas Nitro 2 can gear up against Asus Zenfone 2 and the Xiaomi Mi 4i.

In terms of specifications, the Canvas Nitro 2 sports a 5-inch HD IPS display with a screen resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The screen is also protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is powered by a 1.4 GHz octa-core processor paired with 2GB RAM. The new smartphone offers an internal storage of 16GB which can be further expanded upto 32GB via microSD card.

On the camera front, the Micromax Canvas Nitro 2 comes equipped with a 13MP rear camera with auto-focus and LED flash and towards the front, sports a 5MP camera. The Micromax Canvas Nitro 2 runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat and in terms of connectivity, the device includes GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Micro-USB, GPS/ A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, 3.5mm audio jack and FM radio. The device packs in a 2,400mAh battery and Micromax claims that the smartphone will offer up to 9 hours of talktime and 250 hours of standby time.
