Lenovo launches P70, A5000 with 4000mAh batteries

Lenovo has launched its high capacity battery sporting smartphones – the P70 and the A5000 – for the Indian market. While the Lenovo P70 will be priced at Rs 15,999 and be available on the Lenovo Do Store, the Lenovo A5000 will be priced at Rs 9,999 and will be selling at Lenovo’s retail outlets as well as the Do store.

Lenovo P70 is powered by a 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek (MT6752) processor paired with 2GB of RAM and Mali T760-MP2 GPU. It comes with 16GB of inbuilt storage, which is expandable to 32GB by a microSD card. It sports a 5-inch HD display and comes in a dual micro SIM configuration.

It has a 13-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel fixed-focus front-facing camera. The Lenovo P70 packs an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, magnetometer, and proximity sensor. It also features the quick-charge feature.

Lenovo A5000 is the latest A series of budget phones from the company. Its 5-inch HD display comes with a splash-proof nano coating that offers protection from rain, snow and spills. Just like the P70, the A5000 also sports a 4,000 mAh battery which claims to offer up to 35 hours of talk time on 2G, 17 hours of talk time on 3G and 35 days of active standby.

The A5000 runs on MediaTek MT6582 1.3GHz quad core processor equipped with Android 4.4 KitKat OS that ensures a smooth and responsive performance. It comes with 1 GB RAM and 8 GB of internal storage expandable upto 32 GB along with dual SIM support. It has a thickness of 9.98 mm and weighs 160 gms.
