Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G Available This Weekend Without Any Registrations

For those who’ve been finding it difficult to get their hands on the Redmi Note 4G should be able to grab a unit this weekend, sans any need for registration.

As a part of their Republic Day sale, the Chinese phone maker has announced the device will go on sale from today till January 26, without the need to register or participate in a flash sale. The devices will be available via Airtel stores and also on Flipkart. However, the company hasn’t disclosed any specific number of units that will be put up for sale this weekend.

Those who buy the Redmi Note 4G via Airtel will be given a 4G SIM. Existing Airtel 3G users can avail of 4G speeds at the same tariff plan and they will not have to switch to a new one for the Redmi Note. In cities where there’s no Airtel 4G network, customers will be automatically upgraded to 4G whenever it is rolled out there.

The Redmi Note 4G sports a 5.5-inch HD IPS display and comes powered by 1.6GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 MSM8928 processor. Other specs include 8GB onboard storage, microSD card slot up to 32GB, 13MP rear camera, 5MP front shooter for selfies and 3,100mAh battery. It runs Xiaomi’s customised MIUI OS, based on Android 4.2.

The Redmi Note, if you recall, is Xiaomi’s blockbuster device. In a flash sale carried in July 2014 in Taiwan, 10,000 units reportedly sold within a second.
